What is a Team Fortress 2 payload server?
One team escorts a bomb cart along a fixed track and the other stops it. Standing near the cart moves it; an enemy standing near it halts it. Payload Race maps give both teams a cart and run them simultaneously.
The most forgiving mode to join mid-round, because the cart's position tells you where the fight is without reading the map. It is also the mode most public servers default to, so it has the deepest population at any hour.
