What is a Team Fortress 2 control point server?
Points on the map are captured by standing on them. Five-point maps are symmetrical and the front line moves back and forth; attack/defend maps give one team the points to hold and the other a time limit to take them.
The closest TF2 gets to a competitive format, and the one the six-a-side leagues are built on. Public servers run bigger teams than that, so expect the whole match to turn on one contested middle point.
