Minecraft Towny Servers

What is a Minecraft towny server?

Survival organised around the Towny plugin, where land is claimed by towns rather than by individuals. You found a town or join one, the town owns its chunks collectively, and towns band into nations that can ally or go to war. It turns the map into politics.

A daily upkeep cost in the server economy, which is what stops abandoned towns holding land forever — so a town needs members who actually log in. Expect a mayor, a tax rate, and an argument about both. Many Towny servers run an Earth map, and those two tags overlap heavily.
