What is a Half-Life 2: Deathmatch capture the flag server?

Each team holds a briefcase in its own base and wins by carrying the other team's back to it. The carrier is visible to everyone and drops it when killed, so a capture is a coordinated push rather than one fast runner.

2Fort is most of this mode's population and it is famously a stalemate — long sessions where neither side caps and the sniper decks decide the day. Servers that rotate other CTF maps play very differently, so check what is in rotation before judging the mode by one map.
