What Ravenhill is

Ravenhill is a DarkRP city that has been running since 2019 and has survived by doing the one thing most DarkRP servers refuse to do: it resets the economy every six weeks. Money, printers and property go back to zero, and the people who have played for four years start the cycle in the same place as somebody who joined this morning.

The map is a custom edit of a downtown build with roughly forty rentable properties, a police department, a courthouse and a sewer network that exists purely because someone had to hide the printers somewhere.

What makes it different

• Six-week economy resets. No permanent gap between veterans and new players. Cosmetics and job unlocks carry over; cash does not.
• Police with actual procedure. Warrants, a wanted list, a jail timer and an internal affairs channel for complaints. Mayor is an elected role with a term limit.
• Printers with heat. Money printers overheat and catch fire if unattended, which means running an operation is a job rather than an AFK income stream.
• Custom jobs written in-house. Around twenty-five, from taxi driver to arms dealer to a genuinely miserable sewer maintenance role that pays surprisingly well.

The rules

1. No RDM. Advert or warn before any hostile action, and give people time to comply.
2. No FailRP. Your character does not remember dying, and a hobo does not own a helicopter.
3. Building rules apply to bases: one fading door per entrance, no crouch-jump mazes, no black-hole textures.
4. Police cannot raid without a reason, and the reason has to be in the raid advert.
5. No prop climbing, prop killing or prop blocking. The prop protection plugin catches most of it anyway.

How to connect

In Garry's Mod, open the console and enter connect gmod.ravenhill.net:27015, or find Ravenhill in the DarkRP category of the server browser. The first join downloads roughly 900 MB of custom content — set your download rate high in the multiplayer settings first, or subscribe to the workshop collection linked from the website and skip most of it.
