What Meridian is

Meridian is an Oceania-timezone RP city built for people who are tired of playing at 4am to catch a peak population. Prime time is evenings in Sydney and Auckland, and the whole calendar — department shifts, race nights, court sessions — is scheduled around it.

The city leans into two things most servers treat as side content: player-owned businesses and motorsport. Roughly forty properties are player-run, from a tattoo studio to a freight company, and the racing scene has a points championship with a real season table.

What makes it different

• Businesses with paperwork. Owning a shop means stock orders, staff wages and a licence that can be revoked. It is slower and much more interesting.
• A motorsport season. Weekly races, a points table, scrutineering rules and a build budget per class.
• Timezone honesty. The listing does not pretend to be busy at European midday. Check the Discord schedule before you install 4 GB of assets.
• Character permadeath is opt-in. Players who want stakes can flag their character; nobody has it forced on them.

The rules

1. One character at a time. Character switching to dodge a consequence is a ban.
2. No RDM or VDM. Racing incidents are handled by race stewards, not by shooting the other driver.
3. Business owners are responsible for their staff in character. Fire them properly.
4. New life rule applies after every death.
5. Streaming is welcome; stream sniping is not.

Current status

The query port has been quiet since a recent artifact update, so the listing shows unknown rather than guessing. The city itself is running — the Discord status channel posts a heartbeat every fifteen minutes if you want to verify before connecting.
